Permanent modular is a modern alternative construction method for long lifespan buildings which simply means doing more in a factory than on a building site. Our “3D Volumetric” Permanent Modular system is manufactured under strict quality controlled conditions utilising Building Information Modelling (BIM).
Each project comprises of a number of modules that make up a near-completed building with floors, walls, ceilings, electrical and mechanical systems installed in our factory prior to delivery and installation on site.
While the modules are being manufactured in our factory, foundations and civil works are carried out on the site at the same time. This means, when we deliver to site, there are no delays with assembly, fit-out and completion.
Faster – With site work and fabrication running concurrently, the major benefit of Permanent Modular is a faster overall timeline. Typically, modular construction is up to 50% faster than traditional construction.
Sustainable – Utilising BIM not only improves the accuracy and specification of the building but drastically reduces waste. Indeed, our process meets all new requirements brought under the Building Directive (precast) 2020, achieving an NZEB standard. Typically, we would have less than 1% waste during the manufacturing process.
Better Quality – Research shows that traditional site-built construction is less efficient and less productive. Most recently, a study by Dodge Data and Analytics UK titled “Permanent Modular construction 2020, SmartMarket Report” showed that “most design and construction professionals using permanent modular construction experience improved productivity and product quality”.
Our Permanent Modular System, is a factory manufactured structural building system comprising of 3d volumetric cold rolled steel frames with LGS infill panels for buildings not more than 30m in height.
Our Permanent Modular system has successfully completed stringent independent testing for compliance with Fire and Acoustic building regulations.
The Cpac Modular Building System will be certified to be used in NSAI Classification purpose groups 1(a), 1(b), 1(c), 2(a), 2(b), 3, 4(a) & 5 for buildings not more than 30m in height.
